Plaid Pantry is excited to announce a new partnership with Too Good To Go, a leader in sustainability and food waste reduction. We’re currently testing this initiative with a few of our stores, with plans to expand to additional locations throughout this year.

What’s a Plaid Pantry Surprise Bag?
Surprise Bags contain unsold items that are nearing their expiration date or have recently expired but are still completely safe to eat — all offered at a discounted price through the Too Good To Go app.
Each bag’s contents will vary by location and may include items such as:
- Candy
- Chips
- Jerky
- Packaged burritos or hot pockets
- Packaged pastries
- Packaged breakfast or lunch sandwiches
- Fresh cooler items and drinks

December Charity Program raises over $75,000
We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our December Charity Program. Thanks to the generosity of our customers, vendor partners, and the dedication of our 107 Plaid Pantry stores and over 750 associates, we have raised over $75,000 for the December 2024 Charity Campaign.
Plaid Pantry is excited and proud to continue our partnership with these hyper-local charity organizations. Over the past seven years, we have collectively raised more than $525,000.

Project C.A.R.E.S raised over $149,000
This year, Plaid Pantry proudly continued their partnership with Sunshine Division and SOLVE to launch Project C.A.R.E.S., a charity campaign dedicated to addressing two critical issues in our communities—hunger and environmental cleanup. With the unwavering support of our Plaid Pantry team members, vendor partners, and loyal customers, we successfully raised $149,820 during the July 2024 Project C.A.R.E.S. campaign. This marks the fourth year of our partnership, and to date, we’ve raised nearly $640,000, bringing us closer to our ambitious goal of $1 million in the coming years.
A heartfelt thank you to our 750+ Plaid Pantry team members, generous vendor partners, and customers who have made this achievement possible. Your contributions are invaluable, and your support is instrumental in enabling Sunshine Division and SOLVE to continue their vital work in the communities where we live and work.

Project C.A.R.E.S
What is Project CARES?
Charity giveback campaign focusing on two major impacts within our communities we live and work in. Supporting Community Hunger and Community clean up.
Plaid Pantry in partnership with Sunshine Division and SOLVE is coordinating efforts to raise funds through our amazing supplier partners and our generous Plaid Pantry customers at the register. At checkout we are asking for $1 pledge to either of these local organizations.
When: July 1st – July 31st
Where: All Oregon 107 Stores
Goal: Our Goal is to help raise $200K through our generous supplier partners and our in-store customers.

Oregon Community Solar Program
Plaid Pantry is proud to announce its participation in the Oregon Community Solar Program through Oregon Shines. Plaid will be offsetting about 60% of its PGE electricity usage and 48% of its Pacific Power usage through a Community Solar subscription. Through the 20-year period, Plaid will offset a total of over 150 million kilowatt-hours of power, the equivalent of 107,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide. To learn more, visit www.oregonshines.com
